“The longer I work with gemstones, the more I understand why this world has captivated my family for centuries. Every stone carries a history before it ever reaches a person: where it was found, how it was cut, what it took to bring it into the light. I think that’s what jewellery really is: a way of holding onto meaning, and passing it on. When I curate a piece, I’m not just thinking about how it looks. I’m thinking about who will wear it, and what it might come to mean to them.”
